functions within your app. Your CareerTapp Account Manager will supply your username and
Where do I log into my Mobile App Management Center account?
Login access is located at the top right of every page on the www.CareerTapp.com website.
What if I forget my login credentials or need to change my login credentials?
Your account username will consist of a single email address that will act as a universal login
for all administrators. It can be changed to a different email address via your Mobile App
Management Center at any time. To reset your password, please visit the password reset page
located on the login page of the www.CareerTapp.com website.
How do I control the "Welcome Message" presented on the homescreen of our mobile app?
Under the "Welcome Message" tab in your Mobile App Management Center, you have the ability to
add, edit, and delete the Welcome Message presented on the homescreen of your mobile app. The
Welcome Message presents itself in plain text directly below the homescreen graphic.
If we decide to send mobile alerts through our app, how do we control the process?
Under the "Mobile Alerts" tab in your Mobile App Management Center, you control adding, editing,
and deleting individual Mobile Alert titles, descriptions, and associated contact information.
How will “Mobile Alerts” be presented to our users?
Mobile Alerts sent via CareerTapp apps appear within the app itself (aka “In-App Messaging”).
Users must open the app to discover, review, and act upon individual Mobile Alerts.
Will older Mobile Alerts be auto-deleted?
Yes, all Mobile Alerts will auto-delete after 30 days.
How do I integrate a calendar of events into our app?
You can share your events through your mobile app by integrating an XML link from your Google
Calendar. Simply go into your Calendar Settings, and access the XML link under Calendar Address.
Your CareerTapp Account Manager can also direct you on where to to find the appropriate link.
How do I control the resource buttons presented within the "Info" or “Resources” tab of our app?
Under the "Resources" tab in your Mobile App Management Center, you can add, delete, and reorder
individual buttons. You also control the button names, button destination links, as well as the
"contact" button and its associated email address and RSVP functions.
How do I monitor statistics associated with our app?
Basic activity reports are available in your Mobile App Management Center under the "App
How would I track traffic statistics for individual jobs? (Recruiting App)
If you are an employer, tracking of individual job activity (impressions and clicks) can be
assessed by reviewing referring URL reports through third party analytic services such as your
applicant tracking system or Google Analytics.
How would I track statistics for individual CE activities?
(University App & CE App)
If you are a CE provider, tracking of individual CE listings (impressions and clicks) are
provided through your CESearchEngine account. Additional assessment can be performed by reviewing
referring URL reports through third party analytic services such as your learning management
system or Google Analytics.
How do I manage the individual jobs listed in our app?
(Recruiting App & University App)
Under the "Post Jobs" tab in your Mobile App Management Center, you can add, edit, duplicate,
delete, and expire individual jobs in real time. Jobs can be managed individually, or in bulk.
Is there an option to bulk-upload jobs from a spreadsheet?
(Recruiting App & University App)
Yes. Under the "Post Jobs" tab, you have the ability to upload unlimited jobs by importing a
spreadsheet. Complete instructions are available in your Mobile App Management Center.
App updates that must be handled by a CareerTapp Account Manager
Can the jobs in our app be synced with our job board/ATS?
Yes. The job sync/import runs nightly and is best handled through an XML data feed, similar to
ones provided to a job aggregator such as SimplyHired and Indeed. Your Account Manager must be
provided with the XML file by your IT team or ATS vendor. XML specifications are provided in your
Mobile App Management Center.
Can the mobile app graphics be updated if our branding changes (icon and homescreen)?
Yes. Once the app has been developed, updating graphics such as the icon and the homescreen is a
simple process and typically requires only 24 hours. Send updates directly to your CareerTapp
Account manager. These updates are covered in your annual hosting fee.
Can the mobile app "job filter" options be updated?
(Recruiting Apps & University Apps)
Yes. Once the app has been developed, updating job search filter options such as adding an
additional filter, deleting an existing filter, adjusting filter titles, and adjusting the filter
order is a simple process and typically requires only 24 hours. Send updates directly to your
CareerTapp Account manager. These updates are covered in your annual hosting fee.
Can our app listing on the CareerTapp website be changed (icon, title, and description)?
Yes. Once the app has been listed on CareerTapp.com, updating the listing such as the icon
graphic and description is a simple process and typically requires only 24 hours. Send updates
directly to your CareerTapp Account manager. These updates are covered in your annual hosting fee.
Can the app be used on multiple devices?
Yes. Since the app is web-based and served through browsers, your mobile app can be viewed on any
device that has browser capabilities and an internet connection (iPhone, Droid, iPad, Kindle,
Blackberry, desktop, etc.).
Can the app be accessed and viewed on a desktop computer?
Yes. The mobile app is web-based, and can be viewed from any platform with a browser, including
desktops. Desktop access is great for exploring and testing the app functionality. Since your app
can be accessed on a desktop, this channel will gain greater significance as desktops become more
interactive, such as the evolution of touch screens.
Will people be forced to iTunes or Google Play to find and load the app?
No. Your app is web-based and you will not be charging a fee for it, therefore the app is not
dependent on any third party hosting or merchant processing platform. The app can be loaded
directly from any webpage, email, QR code, social post, or online job posting.
Will my app be submitted to the iTunes App Store or Google Play?
No. Submitting your app to various app stores on your behalf is not part of the service package.
Why does the service not include submitting to the iTunes App Store?
- Technology - Your app is web-based and not reliant on the iTunes platform to be

- Sales - Your app will be free for users, therefore the app will not require the
iTunes merchant system to manage payments.

Yes. Your mobile app and the associated CareerTapp Download Page are optimized for search engines
and should provide a

How should we promote our mobile app?
Promote your mobile app in the same manner you promote your social network accounts. Promote your
app icon on your website, in print media, throughout your social network, within email campaigns,

Custom QR codes are created for your app in your Mobile App Management Center.
How does an applicant apply for a job?
The applicant applies directly through your applicant tracking system (ATS), or through the
mobile apply feature of one your partners (CareerBuilder, Indeed, LinkedIn, etc).
Does our ATS, website, or job board need to be mobile-enhanced prior to offering our audience a

If our ATS does not yet offer mobile apply, and is not mobile-enhanced, what are the

Sending applicants back to a non-mobile ATS is fine, and

emails are viewed on mobile devices). Once your ATS vendor upgrades their technology, the user
